Every time I open one of the pdf letters, it's like a little treasure. I never know what I am going to find! The mail that was sent to Mr. Meredith came in the form of letters, postcards, cards, and Western Union telegrams.
They were sent on grade school lined paper, official letterheads, personal letterheads, and stationary with beautiful artwork.
I include as much detailed information about the letters, postage, and stationary as I can because I don't how these letters will be used in the future. These letters are for a University and will be made public, so it is possible that future researchers may want to use the collection on a study of postage throughout the decades or coding on Western Union telegrams. Part of being an information specialist is providing as much information as you can about archival materials so that they will be as accessible as possible for future researchers.
